unused DI Resin gone bad?

So today I noticed that my DI water from my RO/DI unit was putting out around 10 ppm on my meter. Plus, it was looking a little brown in color. I found my backup resin and then noticed that it was a little brown as well. Can DI resin, that has been sitting in a garage since Aug go bad? The bag was not opened prior to using it today? Also, after a normal change of DI resin, I get my TDS down to 000, today it is hovering around 3, input RO water is 2.

I have a feeling DI resin needs to be kept cool rather than out in a hot garage.
 
Well, it's cool now, does that count? It seems to be doing a little better right now, it's down to 2 ppm, but it's still adding something to the water b/c the ro is coming out at 1.

Do you sell di resin Marc?

No, I've never used that stuff before. I buy disposable color-changing DI cartridges.
