Uniseals - Local place to buy?

[Hi All,

I am starting to progress on my DIY skimmer and was wondering if there was a local place to purchase uniseals.

Thanks for any help.]

[I also need an o-ring that is 4.5" to 5" diameter. I can build the container around the size of the o-ring so it doesn't need to be that accurate.

thanks again.]

[Soji,
I have a few uniseals left over from my DIY project (I ordered extras). Do you need a lot and what sizes. I don't mind parting with a few of mine at cost to you. I think I have 1/2", 3/4", and 1" (remember that is inside diameter). I ordered mine online and they came in around 7-9 days.

PM and we can work something out if this is what you need.]

[Ken,

I was looking at these also. How do they work?
If I drill a hole in a 4" diameter acrylic tube and put these in and then use a 3/4" threaded fitting, does placing the fitting in, compress the Tee eliminator against the acrylic and prevent a leak?

Is this what you use on your Kalk reactors and other diy projects?

Thanks,

-soji]

[Ken, I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You continue to amaze me with the stuff you find. That is dirt cheap, and looks great!]

[wow, I like those tee eliminators idea. For my DIY skimmer the uniseals were ideal, but for my sump they were a PITA and those would have been much better.]
