Underwater water (sand) fall

What do you mean? How far is the water falling down into the tank?

the waterfall is in the tank, under water. but there sand gets lifted up with bubbles and flows out the end of the tube. look it up on youtube. it's really cool.

Wow. That is cool. I went to you tube and searched it.bits a meet idea. It's mostly in freshwater tanks though.

Sort of like a chimney filled with rock and what looks like snow. Huh.

Well, the video from Hook'em2006 is how you can set up emergency oxygen to your aquarium using battery powered air pumps. Those air-lift risers work great and keeping the tank's water circulated as it draws up water from the lower section of the tank and pulls it up with the air bubbles to pour out at the surface.

And finally: always use an in-line check valve to prevent back-siphoning of tank water into the air pump.

Yeah. but how amazing would that look in a saltwater reef with plants!!!!!!! I am going to use a waterfall foam in the back of my tank and do this

That is a good idea but I wouldn't do it to my SW as the video shows the fine sand causing cloudy water. I may try it on my freshwater cichlid tank. I am currently using crushed coral which is light and I already have the parts too. Worth a shot.

they say to use a heavy sand.

So you are going to do this? Hope it works out for you, definitely interested in seeing the results!

Shouldn't be that hard to replan from a 40g to the 30. If you need help, I'm interested in seeing that work.
