Umbrella Leather is not coming around no matter of placement

I have a new Umbrella Leather that I purchased last Thursday with other corals & fish from Sea dwelling. Everything is doing great but the leather just isn't coming around at all. The moment I placed him in the tank he looked very healthy with a big mushroom head ( actually grew out and stood up ) however it never opened after 3 days instead his spine started looking fragile and his head started drooping so I moved him up into the tank for better light - seemed to make it worse, moved it to better water flow with no help - moved it to water flow min light and still looks bad.

Brain Green Fiji, Christmas tree, Fungia, Chili and both bubble tips are all thriving ( all purchased at same time from same place )

I have all so tried Seachem Reef Builder to help, feeding live brine and pods

Try and not touch them much and let them sit for a while. Also keep some flow on him as he may need to shed before he opens up. They could take a while getting used to your tank parameters. But could be nitrate levels like jccaclimber mentioned

Sent from pay phone in the airport.

I should clarify, I'm checking for nitrates too low as that was my problem, although I suppose too high is a possibility as well.

Thanks guys - unfortunately I loaned my test stuff to a buddy to help him out and as normal I can't get him on the phone when I need him in order to run the test.

I am doing a water change now and will not touch him as you mentioned as well - Thanks gain guys and am keeping my fingers crossed

what do you think about placement for light ? I have him in water flow already but any thoughts on how much light or where he should be in tank once he opens ?

funny thing, I had one about 3 years ago that was already attached to a rock that sat perfectly in the tank, placed him day one and never touched him again - grew so big that I actually traded him to make room

I've found that toadstools are pretty good at adapting to whatever light happens to be available in my tank. The trick for me has always been keeping my water from being too clean so they open, and keeping a nem from deciding to move in next door.
