Two Vortech MP40 Placement

I just got in my 2 MP40w ES's for my 220 (6ft long) in yesterday and am excited to mess around with the settings, placement, and the sync/anti-sync functions. My question is what setup do you all think is the best placement for two of these pumps (i.e. opposite sides, same side at same height, same side different height) and what mode works best (reef crest, lagoon, etc.). At the moment, I'm running mostly LPS/softies/zoas, but plan on turning this tank into an SPS dominant tank and want to think ahead.

I'll try to get pictures of the setup so you guys can throw ideas for my particular rockwork setup. Thanks in advance all!

I would put both of them on the same end, say in the front, one on top of the other. You would get a good gyre going that way.

I posted a similar thread about my tank and koralias. Didn't get much response. I think the key is to play around with it and see what works for you.

I agree with Tom, I would like to see if you can get the gyre effect. Otherwise with that size of tank I'm not sure that it's better suited for pumps that throw a greater distance instead of one that tries to push a mass of water. I had mine in a 125 and I wasn't impressed with the flow in the middle. Around the ends it was great.
Try one above the other alternating the time they are on. Next try them next to each other in sync mode.
You may have to suppliment the middle with some more pumps.
I did manage to get a pulsing wave going back and forth but I still wasn't impressed because of the distance they had to travel.
My 90g will be a better setup for them.
