Torch in trouble?

I've had this frag for over a month now.
It was doing fine in QT, and I moved it over about 2 weeks ago.

Over the last few days I've noticed that part of one branch, seems to have started to "discolor."
Not sure what this means. Have anyone ever seen this before? Is it bleaching or is there too much flow (its moving with constant flow, but I don't think it is too much flow)?
I purchased it at a LFS, and everything else in the tank is fine.
I checked the parameters, they are fine as well.

The only other thing that comes to mind is... a few days ago I poured in some RO water directl into the tank (no sump on this tank) after coming back from a trip (the ATO system had some problems). Some of the RO water may have came in contact with the coral before mixing completely. I doubt this could have been the catalyst (since the branch right next to it is fine), but thought I'd mention it.

Sorry about the bad pics (old camera), waiting to get my camera back...

EDIT: I've been dosing phyto about 2x a week, should I be feeding more often perhaps or spot feeding (I've read that some people spot feed torch coral!?)

(the tank (40g) does not have too many coral in it at this time)?

How much light difference between the quarantine system and the tank it is in now? My guess it might be adjusting to the light.

Well both tanks have PCs...
to adjust for the light difference, I placed them 1/2 way up from the bottom in the 40 (alot more shadows).
they were all the way at the bottom in the QT (10g) where there were almost no shadows...

They not being harmed by the light then. Those would be fine right at the top said:
So do you recommend I move them up higher Rick?
I'm assuming you're suggesting - more light = better chance of healing?

Any ideas, as to why they are undergoing this change?

Does it look that bad? It looks from the pictures like one side of has some lightening of the polyps. If that is the extent of the change you are seeing and you water parameters are not out of whack, leave it alone and watch it.

ok, will do...
maybe I'm being a bit too paranoid....
perhaps they are just adjusting still.

They look okay to me in that picture, but corals can inflate or deflate based on their own time frame. Usually they are their largest near the end of the photo period, and smallest in the early morning hours.

I obviously have plenty to learn about coral...
This afternoon they were back to normal (with the exception of the small faded area). They actually looked larger :? .
I dosed phyto yesterday evening.

The sal is at 1.024, ph is 7.9 - 8.1, as far as light, I'm using a Coralife Aaqualight (PCs) rated at 192 w (2 x 96) (they are in a 40g - 36").

Cal, I will have to check tonight, and I don't have a test kit for mg...
I need to get one.

Thanks for the direction on this guys...
