To live and learn, AHHH!!

Ok, no more impulse buys for me. Besides pricing, pretty looking items can actaully be items that are dieing.

Did some research on sebae anemones AFTER I got mine today. Apparently they aren't white naturally. Got it because it looked so white and pretty.

If it makes it then it'll turn a tan/brown color.

Apparently they are normally this color in fish stores?!?!

Why won't they speak up about it when selling it? Especially to someone who is new to the hobby?

Keep in mind that you may very well save that creature, even though that wasn't your intention originally. If it is bleached due to expelling its zooxanthellae and can't regrow any new zoox at the LFS, it will indeed die.

When I got my purple tipped sebae it was the same way. Nice white with purple tips. It darkened up nicely. After my move and the switch to a different brand of salt, it did it again. It's starting to slowely come back now. It's just thier way of reacting to stress. It will survive in a stable environment. Mine grew from about 6" when it was white to about 12" across when it was healthy. I watched it snatch up a big chunk of xenia that had come loose during a water change yesterday. It was nice a plump this morning
