To Catch a Fish

Has anyone had any luck using a fish trap? I set this up today hoping to catch a stupid Blue Damsel that I should have never put in the tank to start with. thank you Frank for loaning the trap to me. so far everyone has been in it except for the Damsel. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right.

Have you tried putting some food in the compartment opposite from the gate? Should be able to unscrew it and put in some frozen food.

GOOD LUCK !!!! The fish you are trying to catch is ALWAYS the last one to go in.

Figure out its hiding spots, turn the light off in the tank during the day, and try to lure it out, it will be confused and most likely stay in the front of the tank, I caught a tiny goby this way, those fish traps are a joke.

Do not mean to hijack, but I tried the inverted bottle trap and caught everything but the one I wanted out. I have two neon gobies in a 30 gal, one is always chasing the other and I don't imagine it could be good for that fish. Or is this normal behavior and ok for them. I mean they dart around the whole tank, the one chasing the other. Yet I can't seem to catch either one to remove it. Any other suggestions? Thanks
