thought on 90% lace rock?

what are some of you alls thoughts on using 90% lace rock and seeding about another 10%
for a new tank? Live sand seeded with critters from another tank.
will the rock eventually crust up?

Are you asking if the lace rock is porus or will it purple up?

I have seen my next door neighbor that used lace rock. The rock is porus and it does purple up well. It's great to grow zoanthids.

I came in to a couple hundred pounds of it, its really porous and looks really nice underwater.
I was curious if I placed a couple pieces of fijii in the tank that was all purpled up with critters if it would help the lace rock along the way.

yea, I was the same way, I forgot how I got turned onto it, but even at a stone place it costs like .79 cents a pound, like any rock some pieces are better than other, I just happened to come into some that look really cool have lots of places to stick frags in.

I'll post a pic of my tank in the tank build section once its ready
