Think its time for me to go sps.

Im thinking its time for sps, so ima set up another tank. Thinking a 30 cube.

This will be a budgetted build so cant go super fancy high tech equip. But i am looking for suggestions on the equipment. And also any personal tips/tricks and advise would be sweet

I got a 29g tank if yah want. $20.

As far as SPS. High flow/high light is necessary along with a good skimmer. Also think about running GFO reactor. Also think about dosing at some point. Generally speaking, SPS tanks need more supplements than water changes can account for.

Are you not able to hold sps in ur current tank? I like a mixed reef tank, so i have sps, lps, and softies. Of course the system was setup primarily for sps though, but all of my other corals are happy as well.

My current system was set up for zoanthids.

I think i could do sps in my tank, tested what i could

Ammonia 0
Nitrate .5
Nitrite 0
Ph 7.8
PO4 .75

Dont know calcium alk

Also do 5g water changes a week on a 15g tank

Few sps i like are terria de fuego red planet and ponape birdsnest and a few millies

Also would like a clam

Really its not hard. If your tank is setup right and you make some effort its easy. SPS only become difficult when you have a SPS dominate tank. Even then its just a matter of supplying enough calcium.
