The end of the road - Can't have a tank anymore...

[With school about to start back up and electricity bill sky rocketing, my parents have decided that i don't need my reef anymore. So i'm moving everything into my girlfriends 58 gallon, but i need some advice. Her tank was set up about a month 3 weeks ago. It has about 27 pounds of live rock and a 1inch sand bed. The water i used was 50 percent new water and 50 percent water from Tranquil Scapes system. Right now everything checks out pretty well. Nitrites and Ammonia are both at zero. Nitrates are at 10 ppm. I also put a 20 gallon fuge in it. My question is... Should i drain half of her water and replace it with half of my water, then slowly acclimate my fish and corals to her tank. My lighting and everything in my tank will be moved into the 58. What kind of special care should i take with my SPS frags. They Have already been mounted onto some of the bigger pieces of live rock. I was thinking i needed to acclimate them with the rocks, then carefully try to aqua scape the tank. I'll be doing most of this tommarow morning. So i need reply's asap.]

I would look at it just like you are bringing it home from the LFS. Acclimate them the same way you usually do. If you dont think its a good idea then drip acclimate them.

[I see no reason to change her tank's water in an attempt to match your own. And while I always acclimate fish from the LFS, corals and LR are just put right in.]
 
[Sig's current tank has very stable conditions of calcium and so on...while his girlfriend's tank has nothing. He has a lot of sps and other nice corals that might not be able to make the transition to a new tank with water conditions that aren't up to par.]
 
[If her tank is basically rock and sand, swapping water would work for the moment, but she's going to have to maintain those levels with some type of dosing method like B-Ionic.]
 
[I Just got done with the swap, man, 100 pounds of rock in a 58 looks really good. I ended up swapping all the water just to be safe. I kept a heater on all my fish just so that i wouldn't have to acclimate. Everything seems to be fine except that i broke my green monti cap. I'm thinking about getting my girl a calcium reator just so she don't have to put the bionic in every day. If not, would it be ok if i dosed the bionic at night right after the lights went off instead of dosing in the morning???]
 
[Yes, that will still be okay. Mornings are better because the pH is lowest, but I've been dosing B-Ionic late at night for years.]
