The effects of dosing 2 part on your skimmer?

I finally decided my water changes weren't enough to keep my paramaters where they need be so I started dosing 2 part this week. I had my skimmer dialed in exactly where i wanted it, but now I'm going to have to re adjust it because the collection cup will fill up in a couple of hours. I was just wondering what effects dosing has on your skimmer you skimmer.
 
Have you thought of dripping kalk? If you drip kalk/limewater it will help maintain your calcium as well as your alk levels.
 
I was dripping kalk (far a couple of weeks) but my params were so far off i needed to go to 2 part to get them back where they need to be. I might go back to kalk now that my params are good.
 
I've not noticed any effect on skimming with alk and ca, but the 2-part magnesium will effect my skimmers a bit for a day or so after dosing. Matter of fact, in my 92, I dose the alk solution in front of the intake of my skimmer so it helps mix it up in the sump.

What kind of skimmer do you have?
