That "Oh, schucks moment"

You head to the store and find that one coral frag that you have been looking for forever. It's not really in the budget, but what the heck, you buy it anyway because you know it won't be there next time, and well, it's the best price you've seen it for this side of the internet. You drive home with the AC blasting so it won't get too hot. You immediately head into the fish room with your precious, leaving even the cold beer in the car to get warm. You place it into your acclimation container. You start the drip. Not to fast, not to slow, it has to be perfect because you've wanted this one for a while and you want to give it the best chance possible. You patiently wait watching over it to make sure that nothing happens during the acclimation period. Finally, it's time to put it in the tank. You have that PERFECT place for your new show piece. Not too high, not too low. Just the right amount of light. It's the perfect flow because you've researched this one before. You start to place it in the tank in it's perfect spot and . . .

the #$%#$^$%^$%^%&^*^&()^&*(*%^#%&^#%%^#4 dog jumps on your leg and scares you so bad you drop the coral and time seems to ssssssllllllllloooooooowwwwwwwww down. In slow slow motion, you see it heading towards a hole in your LR. You reach forward to grab it kicking the dog off your leg at the same time in a motion that would make Jackie Chan jealous. Your hand is reaching for it . . . you've almost got it . . . dang refraction!!!!! It falls behind the furthest, deepest part of your live rock at the back of your tank where only snails with shells dare to tread!

Now your stuck with a choice. Tear up every single piece of LR in your entire tank or hope that you can find that same piece of coral again. What do you do? Suddenly you wake up from your nap and realize it was all a dream! You rush downstairs to the aquarium room to make sure your precious is still ok. As you turn the corner into the aquarium room, two things happen simultaneously:

You see your precious still sitting right where you put it, as beautiful as when you headed upstairs to take your nap. Your immediately elated to see your precious is fully inflated!!!

AND

You step in a puddle of water and wonder why your foot is wet. Then you realize you forgot to take out the drip acclimation hose and in the time it took you to drift off to dreamland, your tank is plotting against you because you have a new favorite.

Well, it could be worse!!!!
