tds meters,which on is right?

I bought an inline TDS meter in the GB.And I got a handheld one from woot.com.They do not read the same one reads 7 the other one reads 15. Which one is more accurute? Thanks,Mark

Odds are the woot one is less accurate. They're cheap for a reason.

A person with one watch knows what time it is. A person with two watches is never quite sure...

I agree though, I'd trust the inline ones over the Woot ones...

I purchased one off ebay and it's about 10ppm higher. I purchased the inline one and it's dead on.

My inline will not read 0 ppm no matter what. I have a Hanna and a cheaper handheld that both read 0 ppm on my RODI. The best I can get from the inline is 2 ppm. Anyone know how to calibrate these things. I've tried turning the probe, but it only makes the reading go up.

Sorry didn't mean to highjack your thread. I'd go with the inline being more accurate than the woot ones.

Hanna sells calibration fluids. I think that I've purchased some off Premium Aquatics at some point. Never had to adjust mine though.

I have two of the handheld woot one's.

They both read 4. Also, I checked the RO I got from Bill at neptune's and it read 8.

I went to the shop, and it read 6.

The inline probes should not be turned. You'll see two small black dots - one on the next of the probe and one on the quick connect fitting - these should be lined up. If aligned, the probes are 1) in the correct position, and 2) are in the position they were when the unit was calibrated by HM Digital.

These inline units, both the DM1 and the DM2, can be calibrated with 342 ppm fluid. On the DM2 the two probes can be calibrated independently.
