Tank swap...?

I am setting up a 100g +20g frag tank. I want to transfer everything from my 30g into it, but i am starting with some new sand i bought from a member and some new LR. Also added some dead rock and dead sand so it is not ready yet. My questions: when the tank has cycled and looks ready for adding some livestock, can i just do a 30g water change, add my 30g tank water to it, and acclimate all the live stock to the new tank like i just bought them? Is there any safer or easier way?
running 2 tanks now is a pain :)
 
You have the new one ready to go at the same time you have the first one still running? I would do 10 gallon water changes on the first tank an add that waste water to the new tank. Take some of the liverock and live sand(a cup or two) and put that in the new tank. With the liverock and sand in addition to about 30 gallons of the waste water from the changes on the small tank, it should be fairly safe to just transfer livestock from one to the other. The water quality and parameters should be very close. Of course the more times you do water changes on the small tank and add that to the larger system, the closer they will be.
