Switching out sand bed?

Alright when I got the tank up and running I did the mistake of getting sand that was basically sugar size...now it covers some of the live rock and gets suspended easily.

The question is should I convert this sand bed into thicker sand that I got from the fish gallary or just wait until I get my aquapod in a shift everything over to that tank?

I would do it in a heartbeat if it was only live rock in there but I have 3 colonies of zoos, 2 rics, and a watchman goby, not to mention about 10 snails. I would rather not stress the livestock. If it means waiting until my aquapod gets in then ill be willing to wait.

Any suggestions are welcome

Other than adjusting flow patterns, the sand will eventually become "heavier" do to becoming more "live". New sand is always the worst as far as getting kicked up easy.

hopefully this is the case...its annoying having to blow the sand off the rocks everyday. Im setting up a temporary 10g tank to hold my 10lbs of sand and 13lbs of rock so it will be nice and ready for the aquapod hopefully the monday after christmas.

Is anybody else getting the aquapod??If so what type of filtration do you plan on using?
