Trying to improve my coral colors under my LEDS, which are unique LEDs , one is 250W equiv with 5W crees , cool white and and mix of royal and medium blue , the other a 150W equiv with 3W crees cool white and royal blue.
I bought some siliconed strips from 21ledstrips.com , they consist of 250Lumen per foot Red's, Greens. UV 420nm , and 450nm Blue for moon lights.
They fit nicely in the underneath slots of the heat sink or come with self stick backing and could be mounted to anything. I am using their 4n1 splitters to drive the R, G, UV and use my apex to control the moon light strip. The company
is on ebay but he is Burelson and items arrive in 1 day. I have pictures showing just how much light is given just with the supplemental LED's , I'm quite satisfied it is enough to help the coral colors.

The UV and deep blue looks like that was all that was needed in your setup. The fixture setup looks really nice though.

What's that holding the strips? said:
they are just sitting in a channel , the strip is 10mm wide and the channel on the heat sink is about 9mm and has a lip , but they come with 3m adhesive that can be used as well.

Well I have seen and read alot about the lack of red and green, so I will see.

I fully agree with you. I had read the original thread wrong. The additions that you made will help you go full spectrum. I would keep the wattage way down on the red and green. You dont need much. Too much will create alage issues. I have been experimenting. The UV will give you the pop.

those red and green strips are 250 lumens per foot , not sure how that equates but they are very little compared to blue and white crees. Any guess ? I run all 3 foot off one 1.0 amp 12v supply .
