Super Nano Con Dientes.

Here are a few pics of the Super nano con dientes from Glass-holes.com. Mike Kirkman and i designed this little overflow box for nano owners who wanted a overflow box with out losing a lot of tank real estate. If you order one let him know that JJ(malofish) sent you, you never know, you might get a surprise when your kit comes in

thanks I have had this idea in the back of my head for a while, it just took Mike to built it...He was great to work with and was fast! I wish other on-line businesses took his pride and enjoyment in this hobby!! It was $65 and that included the bulkhead, the 90 degree threaded elbow, some extra stuff  , and a t-shirt!!

isnt that their standard nano overflow? I love glass holes. I would have used them for my tank but I wanted the tank as close as possible to the wall.

No, this one has teeth, the others are what he refers to as "gran'pa"style, which do not have teeth. My tank only sits about 3" from the wall, and that includes space for me to remove the bulkhead if i ever need too. Here is a few pics.

You win! Im content with 3" from the wall, i also went this route because i drilled all the returns and the intakes for the closed loop.

Im not knocking your set up JJ. Sometimes I wish I would have sacrificed space behind the tank for the space saved inside the tank. My standard overflow is huge compared to my 40 breeder. If I had a nano I would for sure use that style overflow. Looks great

It's cool Dave, I was just explaining my self that way other readers can better understand why i went this route. :D Also, at $65 shipped with everything that you need including the bulkhead, you can beat that with a stick!! If i had a large tank(over 60gal.) A internal over flow is defiantly the way that i would go, its just that in a nano, you really need every inch that you can get! When you get a wide tank like yours, you can get away with an internal overflow. From the standard 10 to the 30long, i think its best to try and save as much space as possible! I love the clean looks of your breeder. Your overflow box isn't even that noticeable after you painted the back black, and did a great job with the aquascaping! Soon the SPS will over tall enough that you wont notice it all!

It also a good point that you made Dave, i sacrificed tank to wall space for in tank space. I think its great that you brought that up. That way readers can get both the highs and the lows.
