I feel like bigger is better, but what is the smallest sump I can use for a 180 gallon tank and it still be benificial? I have a very small area to work with.
well, you want at least 20 gallons for the refugium, and sump area depends on what you will be doing for a skimmer. external you could probably get a 55 whereas internal i would probably recommend at least a 75.
