Suicidal Green Bubble Tip

Ok, I have been trying to let this guy play his mission out, but I'm getting worried. I bought him from an lfs back in July, and he looked awesome. About a week later he deflated and started moving to the back of the tank. I have pulled him out once, and he started looking better(his gaping mouth finally closed), for about two weeks. Then, once again he packed up and headed to the back. He looks horrible, and I can only see a glimpse of him.

Basically my question is: Do I try to pull him out again, or just leave him back there and let him die? I have always read that they know what is best for themself, and not to interfere....

My water parameters are in line, temp is 76-79.
My rbta is doing fine, and all other corals are healthy and growing.

Do I just have a bad nem? And if so-any suggestions....

I have attached pictures of when I bought him, and two weeks after I pulled him out, before this last venture. He is now 1/2 that size, folded in half under a rock 3/4 the way up the back of my tank. He looks horrible.

Thanks in advance...

Have you tried feeding him a peice of krill or a small silverside?

I wouldnt move him, that seems like it would just stress him out and make the matter worse.

I'm at work now, so I will post what I know:

Salinity: .25-.26
PH: 8.1-8.3
Amonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10 ppm
Alkalinity: 11+/-
Temp: 76-79
Calcium: 460+/-
Magnesium: 1200-1300

Its been up for a year, 100 gallon, 55 gal fuge with cheato, grape, and caulerpa algea. Euro Reef Skimmer. I do water changes weekly, and test almost weekly.

Let me know if I need to provide anything else...

Hmmmm....sometimes existing livestock can slowly adjust to drifting parm's and new additions struggle, your parameters look to be inline so this doesn't seem to be the case. Are you dosing daily.....perhap's a ph/alk swing when dosing??? Maybe it's didn't like the flow initially.

Cheers,

Well, I guess we can let this thread go, I rolled the rock he was attached to, and he was a goner. I'll just have to be happy with my RBTA. Thanks anyway for the help.
