I buy my saltwater from the LFS premixed. I have a 20 gal tank. MY question is how long will the water stay good after I buy it. I hate making trips to the store to get. I have 3 - 5 gal containers and I change 5 gals a week. Thanks
If they are sealed tightly you should be good for a couple of weeks. Anymore than that or if they get exposed to air, you could get some things growing in it that you don't want.
When storing saltwater in jugs you will want to rinse them out pretty good from time to time as you will get mineral build up inside the jugs that will come off in flakes during your water changes.
