Starting to add livestock...hooray...a few questions

Okay, finally after two months of cycling I feel my tank is ready for livestock. I know lots of members have given me much needed advice. I finally got a skimmer and a nice light fixture which I think can handle certain types of coral. it is the aqualight 4x65watt with three blue led's. I have a 55 gallon so i think i can handle some softies but no lps or sps.

I have a few more questions. I have my lights on timer and they are currently on from 11am to 7 pm is this a long enough light cycle.

I added my first fish...one green chromis(advised by tri) he has been in tank for about two days and is eating well. I have been feeding a little flake twice a day. is this enough food because he eats the flake very quickly.

And finally after a few weeks I will start adding more livestock. But i only plan to have a total of five or six fish. and some corals. Would anyone be willing to give me fish they want to get rid of. I will pay if price is right. And also would some be willing to donate corals when they trim their corals. I will donate corals back when they double but I need to get started. What corals would be good to start with. I was thinking xenia, mushrooms and zooanthids. But I would love some other suggestions.

Thanks again for all the advice.

Congrats,
Here's one other thing to note..try to get away from flake food, most fish love the stuff but it can add phosphate to your system(check the label). It also dissolves into basically a soup in your tank which along with the phosphates it contain's can feed nuisance algae, especially if overfeeding. There are seveal members that sell homemade fish food that are not only excellent, they also add variety to your fish's diet, which is very important. The book you referenced in ok for general basic stuff, but there are many other sources namely this site. I wish we had a sticky describing how to setup a tank with links to Marc's site for each step(hint hint)
**edit** Those are excellent starter coral's

Cheers!
