Starter sps - Under pc lights

[My tank has been running without a problem for over 18 months now (except for when the power went out). My water params are all good pretty consistantly. I feel ready to Do some SPS. What is a good one to start with? I have PC lights 65x4 and I can place it near the top.
I want to add color to my tank, and since I have to put it near the top of the tank I don't think a flat one would look good. I don't care so much what color It is just so it's bright. Any suggestions? Pictures would be helpful as well.
thanks,]

[You could try parking a orange Montipora Capricornis frag under the lights to see if it keeps its color with the lighting. I wouldnt run out and buy a large peice because it would be a shame to spend all that money to watch it lose color then have to sell it for a loss.
Just my opinion though. M. Digitata is a good starter too. not flat though,
Jason]

[I agree with the Jason and Matt, Montipora is your best bet. As for color, I had good luck with orange and green digi under PC lighting.

Both have really grown well and held most of their colors. Here's a picture of the orange several months later, granted...it isn't as bright, but still orange.

[Steve..... .....you want to sell him some 'green bubble algae'? ??? .............]

[Honestly digitata is one of the only I'll recommend. It will keep it's color and grow a little. Poccillipora would also be OK. Acros would be a no no. At a minimum they will have very retarded growth and will lose their color and at most they will die!]

[Steve, he is looking for a starter SPS!]

[Since Dana calls describes herself as a female, i would say you are right. And now back on track, I agree with Keith try some different Montipora digitatas and see how they do. They should be fine with your lighting. And you can find several different colors. If I was not so far from you, I would offer you to come by and get a frag of it to try.]

[I'm not to far and I'm sure I could find a digitata frag for cheap! I have plenty of orange (actually it's probably started from a frag of Rick's "rust colored" from long, long ago!)]
