SPS coral grow and Black Powder

Anybody on here ever used this stuff, Mark Weiss product and Black Powder. I've been reading a few reviews and i see the only negative comments are made by people who never tried it. I've used it for couple of days, and the only result I see is that it makes my skimmer go crazy. So i'm curious to see if someone uses this kind of stuff here or had past experience. I would like to hear from people that actually tried this stuff.

Never used it... but lets just say that Mark Weiss products have historically shown not to be effective as the advertisements.

I tried Black Powder years ago. It's a great product, if you're trying to grow cyanobacteria.

Personally, I avoid this and all other Marc Weiss products.

wow, all negative comments :lol:, I was expecting at least one person to defend it, so what you're all saying is that you get accelerated cyno and aptasia growth, but nobody mentioned anything about the coral growth. I can take the hit with cyano and aptasia as long as everything else is growing at the same rate.

Mark Weiss is a snake oil salesman who produces questionable products of limited if any value to the industry. Purchasing his products will do little to improve your tank, but will dramatically lighten your wallet. He is the same as those herbal/healthy weight loss pills you see at 4am in the morning with the doctored before/after photos.
