[I've seen Marc's postings of his wonderous Banana wrasse. I can't live without one! Can anyone tell me how hardy they are on a scale of 1 to 3 (3 being a clown or damsel)?

Also the springerii dottyback anyone know how hardy they are???]

[I've had a Springer's Dottyback for over a year now. He started eating right away, has gotten along with my other fish, including a Six-Line Wrasse and a Yellow Coris Wrasse. He quickly became my favorite fish in the tank and will almost eat out of my hand. Great Fish.]

[Not only is the Wrasse quite hardy imho, but it is interesting in that it will hide in the DSB at night to sleep.

Btw, when I first bought it, I acclimated it slowly and added it to the tank. I watched it swim around for a minute of two, so I walked away to dispose of the plastic bag. When I came back I couldn't find it anywhere, and looked for a good long while.

FIVE DAYS later it was swimming around like it had always been there. :D]

[I talked to Micheal at Randy's fish warehouse and he said banana were not reef safe they are related to lunare wrasse. He had a Yellow Coris Wrasse and I bought it instead. Like you say it disappeared I am totally unable to find it. I hope nothing ate it

As for the Springer's Dottyback I've been told tank raise on any fish is the way to go. But that ORA has had some problems with inbreeding?]

[FWIW, when I bought my wrasse, I was told it was a Yellow Coris. However it was about a year later that I was informed that it was actually a Banana Wrasse!

It hasn't caused me any problems at all.]

[Marc the Banana Wrasse is a Thalassoma the same group as the Moon, Sunset, or Lunare Wrasse. None are reef safe! Also they are not pure yellow or small! Their size is upto 20cm. You can tell if it's a Banana because they will have lines in the face just like a Lunare Wrasse or any of the others above. Also the tail and midsection have some variation in coloration typically. The yellow coris has spots in the dorsal that look similiar to eyes. On you pictures I did not see the eyes in the dorsal but saw just pure golden. Your Wrasse is stunning and has an intresting personallity but may be neither?]

[8" wow that's gonna be bigggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...... I just did the metric conversion!]
