Splitting a Seaba manually

Ok so i finally did it! This nem. had grown to big for my tank, and my wife wouldnt let me sell the whole thing. So i decided to split it myself. I thought it would be helpful to everyone if they could see the before and after. My camera is not the best, but you can get a good visual.

Sweet! I can't recall seeing someone split a Sebae before, good luck, and please keep us updated on it's progress...

LS After One Hour
When i cut the nem, half stayed attached and half detached from the rock.
The LS that stayed attached seems to be doing better than the RS (unattached). RS nor the LS have released anything that could be seen, at the one hour mark. I will post if this changes. And thanks Serk, i was very nervous about doing this. :)

After two hours the LS is doing well. It is rolling itself into a ball, and closing up it appears. The left side is still droopy, and rolling itself some. The LS has also turned brown, while the right has held its color. Thanks for watching, wish us luck.

The next day the left side is doing great. Right side still a little punny, but looking better today. RS kept flipping face down, not certain what that was about. In the small tank, the LS wanted closer to the light. While the RS wanted away from the light. At the 3 hour mark when the LS wanted more light, and had'nt released anything harmful, that could be seen. I put it back in the display tank. The right side i left in the smaller tank for a couple more hours. And after putting in it flipped upside down again. About an hour before i went to bed i turned it back over, and was still that way this morning.

The larger one is doing great. The smaller one was doing better. But still punny. And one morning he was gone. Think he may have went behind the rocks. I keep hoping to catch sight of him .He has been missing for about 7 days.

The only thing i would do differetly would be, i would take a little more time and cut him directly down the center. I was only off by a very little bit . But i think this is the most important step if i was to do this again.
