I picked up a Splendid Pseudochromis at a LFS this weekend. She/he was listed as an "Aurora Goby" for $60. It was obviously not a goby, but was a beautiful fish, so I took a chance and offered $30 for "the mystery fish". I figured if I could not keep it someone would certainly have a suitable home, seemed like a good risk proposition for $30! Once home in QT, I was able to ID it.

It's a gorgeous fish, and one I have never seen in my 5 years in the hobby. She/he is destined for my 150 gallon reef after 6 weeks of QT, assuming all goes well. The LFS manager tells me the fish has been there a couple of months, must be a hardy little bugger!
I'll snap a picture or two once he/she is feeling a little more comfortable.
