Small refugium yes or no

I have limited space under my RR115. Already have a sump and skimmer. Only have room for a small refugium like a HOB. Is it worth the money for such a small fuge?
 
Well unless I do a custom one, I only have room for like a CPR HOB so 13" x 4.5" x 12. Just doesn't sound like a lot of help for the cost involved.
 
Hrmm.. if you got a HOB filled with chaeto growing well, it might take a while before you see a real advantage. Why not just keep your eyes peeled for a good deal on a HOB fuge, so that you don't have a lot invested.

At the very least it will act as a pod refuge, even if it has limited nitrate export or DSB denitrification.
 
I tend to agree with Ryan unless you can DIY something cheap it's not worth it as it won't help much.
