I have a small pipe fish (2.5 inches). Currently in my nano,i would like to add him to the 135 gal.Which i have large tangs( yellow & regal ),copper band, fire fish, small damsel, and two clowns. Would this be a bad idea, or would he be fine with the new tank mates?? TIA Jesse

It should be fine I have what I think is a dragonface pipefish, I got from Bill at Neptune's Cove, have heavy flow, and big fast fish in there, does perfectly fine, what kind are you wanting to add?

Thanks , it is an african blue stripe. He is a very nice looking fish, my wife would kill me if anything happened to him in the big tank!

Might not be bad to have some refuge for him as well.

An immediate place for him to call his own will help him acclimate.

Although, from what I have seen from most pipes and sea's, they are rather "free roamers".
