Slime Coat development for clownfish to host?

How long does it take for a clown to develop the slime coat for it to host an anemone?

Pretty sure this is something they are either born with or develop very soon after birth. What is the reason for your question???

i was just wondering, because the clowns got stuck on the carpet anemone, i had to pick them off, it look like the carpet was going to eat it.

carpets are more sticky than most and not all clowns host in them

i was wonderiing, is there a break-in period, where the clown acclimate themself to the anemone?

I've had clown's literally refuse to move from their nem, it's actually how I removed my last set. There may be a small acclimation period as some clown's usually only host certain nem's in the wild but in our tanks, they sometimes take what they can get.
