Hello all,
I'll get to my question quick. If I get a Euro-Reef CS80 Skimmer for example with a 9"x9" footprint. How large of a chamber do I need in the sump for the unit? Do I need to plan for 10"x10" or much larger than that?
Still working and planning my first attempt at saltwater. I have a 60 gallon cube that with the fish I plan to get I think will work well. The door on my stand is 20.5" x 21". The interior is 23" deep and 28" high. I'm wanting to get a sump with a refugium and from what I've seen cube sumps aren't common. My very basic thought was a 20"x20"x20 sump... with a 10"x10"x18" sump chamber, a 10"x10"x14" return chamber, and a 20"x10"x16" refugium in the front. That's more an idea from rambling around too long.
Thanks,
Shannon
