Skimmer and Skimate

OK gang, I cleaned out my becket and soaked it in vinegar. I had cleaned it out in the past, but kinda scraped off the calcium carbonate. I wanted to post a couple of pictures. The thing is just producing CRAZY bubbles. The picture was taken at 10:30. I am going to try to post a picture of a 24 hour skimmate production. I'm not sure if my collection device will let me reach 24 hours.

Get to bed Nick!

Holy CRAP, I am on my way to dreamy land and I decided to check out the collection cup. The thing is almost 1/4 of the way full! I guess I'll get to check on the feedback mechanism too. I'm not even running it "wet" either  :?

Lol I hide the lap top under the bed.... this is my regular rutine fake asleepe then surf dfwmas reef central and saltwater fish .com lol 8)

I started work today at 6:30. Around 6 am the thing was about 3/4 of the way full. I'll take a picture and post it when I get home from work, but I'm sure that my skimmate will stop the venturi by then :? .

BTW ER= eur rippedoff

I jut set up my asm last night its been runing for 16 hours i need to go see how much it oulled out :D

It pulled out about 1/4 of the colection cup.......but I only have 1 fish.

I need to do the same to mine. What pump do you have on it? Mine pulls enough skimmate that whenever I do water changes I have to mix the salinity high to make up for everything my skimmer is removing.

I had David make me a 6" extension for mine and wonder if it makes much difference. Mine is a prototype if anyone wondered why it looks different.

OK, well I can't wait. With how fast my skimmer was kicking out skimmate, I thought that I would end up filling the collection device before I awoke. Then, in the morning I figured that I'd have it filled up before I returned from work. Well I'm home and the thing is about 80% filled. I'm just going to empty it now  . I have other things I need to get done.

Moral of the story; Clean your Beckets and a consistent basis

Looks like from the picture that I will need to readjust the skimmer as well
