shrooms

The best way I found was to take an empty Jam jar or the like ,
you place small pieces of rubble to completely fill the bottom, fill the jam jar with tank water and place the shrooms, kenya in there, they will sink on the rubble, place the jar in your and within a week they will attach, then place the small rubble with the attached coral anywhere you like.

The rubberband method (rubberband with shroom over rubble) slices them up, and the net over the rubble causes the shroom to grow through the net, which you end up breaking the coral.

Have fun, the jar method works best though!

i tried the jar method.. my shrooms just curl up and never really attach. and my tree just heal and still float around...

ok these are 2 of my frags... i still put them in a jar for lower flow

the rubberband is actually pretty loose. the trick is to find a piece of rock that's not flat.. but a little dented in for the shroom to sit, so that the shroom is not crushed between the toothpick and the rock.

another method for the tree is to sew it at the base and tie the thread to a small rock loosely...

or, just bury them under crush coral, and they will attach to crush coral hopfully

cool, i'll give that a shoot with the shrooms, can you use a rubberband with the tree, this will more likely cause the side of tree to make contact with the rock, or does the frag need to the resting on the base?

not necessarily on the base, but the problem of using toothpick is that toothpick is too big for a tree frag, which is why people use thread, like you're sewing. and then you tie it to the rock.

but rubberbanding the frag to a rock w/o toothpick might work, if the rubberband doesn't crush the tree, it gets tricky.
