Should my house smell good?

Well let me change that up a little bit.
I was just made aware that it is POSSIBLE to do damage to the aquarium life by using one of those SCENTSY wax burners. I understand you don't go throughout the house spraying LYSOL, GLADE, or FABREEZE all over the air, but what about one of these SCENTSY gizmos? My wife has one in the front room (fish) and one in the bathroom.
It is not a knock-you-down scent but it's there.
Anybody have any reliable information about these one way or the other?
I have a feeling Mama might not be happy with me if I pull the plug on them unless I have something fairly substantial. [smilie=itwasntme.gif] [smilie=rofl.gif]

Hmmm... I've febreezed, lit candles, sprayed all kind of stuff and never knew better. I'm not spraying it directly over the tank or anything. If you need an alternative to make the house smell good get some mint oil. Soak a bit into a cotton ball and toss it under something. It'll make the whole area smell nice and minty.

I don't know about Scentsy, but we use the Renuzit super odor eater adjustable solid air freshener in the fish room. I just barely crack it open about 1/8 inch. We have done this for years and no problems that I know of. We have them in other rooms of the house as well. We DO NOT use carpet fresh anywhere in the house. We DO NOT use hair spray in the house - my wife goes outside for that. We use very little air freshener spray in our house, and ONLY in the other end of the house from the tanks, and very sparingly, as well.

There is a Scentsy burning 24/7 about 6 feet away from my tank and I haven't had any trouble yet. I did get 2 tanks juiced full of Lysol one time when the kids got sick and my wife sprayed the whole house. It was a nasty mess but the only thing that I lost was a coral banded shrimp. Looked like snot all in the tank and I think it got caught in the shrimps gills. I took about a week of heavy skimming, carbon, turkey basting and water changes to clear it up.

Well I was just seeing if I received any "OMG! Never do that!" type reactions. I was thinking it might be a little extreme and I have so many other things to worry about, I figure I'm letting this issue slide by. [smilie=lol.gif]

Depends if you like the smell or not. You could always play the "I've done some research and this smell contains toxic chems, but this other one doesn't." [smilie=rofl.gif]
