Sheman RBTA the same as a RBTA

I have been looking for a RBTA for my 75gal. A while back I bought what was sold to me was a Sherman RBTA.Is their a difference?I was told that a Sherman was a Dallas name for a RBTA. Anyway I am still looking for one.

a real "sherman" BTA is a RBTA, it was from someone that lived in Sherman, TX. Making it a string rbta since it has come adapted to aquarium life over the years versus one just pulled from the ocean. You see SRBTA on here so much now though who nows if it can really be traced back to the original in Sherman.

One way for sure to tell is if it has any hint of green in it then it is not a sherman.

if you type srbta, it becomes a link with the story of the "sherman" rose bubble tip, so click on "srbta". I may completely off base, but it was said that particular strand did better in aquariums.. in my limited experience I haven't had issues with the several bta's I've come across. whether they were sold to me as sherman or not. When I compare the two I feel the sherman has a deeper red to it, while my normal rbtas have red and white striations. hth
