Setting Up 170 Gal. Tank In Office

Hello,

I am setting up a 170 tank in our new office.

I called Dallas North Aquarium to get a price and list of things that I need the tank but... I bet I know what price that is going to be :(. So...

If you guys dont mind and have some time could you please help me out some opinions so I can make check list of things I need to buy and where to buy them for a decent price.

I had a 55 Gal. long tank and I know some about the hobby but not enough about the larger tanks to put on together.

What do you plan on putting in it? Fish Only? Mixed Reef? SPS??

I'd suggest you take a look in the build forum for some ideas of what many of us are doing and putting into the systems.

As far as who to buy from... your location will help with that. While you can cut corners in some things, you need to understand that putting up a 180 will run you at least $3 or $4 grand unless you go used. The tank/stand alone can run you nearly $1500 or so. By the time add the lights, sump, skimmer, flow, Liverock etc... you'll be pushing $4000 and up.
