What do you use for fllshifting current?Does anyone currently use an SCWD and still like it?I can afford to lose a little flow and the alternating current might help to reduce the heads needed for a wavemaker.... Or so I think.Mainly looking for the downside or things I need to plan for.

[*]Depends on the size of tank, and current powerheads. You can also look into a random flow generator. There are so many options with powerheads that the swcd could be pointless. You wouldn't need one with a gyre at all. This would be a good post to see what everyone uses.

I used a SCWD on my pony tank. It was a 46 bow and I myself wouldn't use it on a bigger tank. Way better pumps out there now that do a great job. I won't be using one on my bow front this time around.
