Scroll not opening

I have a Scroll Coral that only opens its polyps when lights go off. Never during the day. I've turned on my moonlights in the middle of the night just to check and the darn thing is fully opened. Why is this? I'm guessing my 2 Pigmy Angels might have somthing to do with it !!

It is my understanding, and my experience as well, that scrolls don't send out polyps quite as much in the light. They're kind of like many LPS in that regard (ie acans, lobos). On mine the polyps are just peeking out during lights one, then fully extend at night. Just one of those things. As long as coloration and new growth are decent I wouldn't worry.

Ok, understood, was just wondering, but it's too bad they don't open during ligths on as it looks beautiful. Other SPS corals open nicely during the day. Growth on this thing is kind of slow.

How long have you had it. Sometime it will shift to open during the day. I had a yellow scroll that did the same thing but after about a year it started to open during lights on. But it might never do that for you but you never know though
