Screen for new MH bulbs

I was reading about screen material that can be used for acclimation purposes of new MH bulbs. Anyone have a pic of the stuff. Apparently can be bought at home depot. They also said cutting photo period by half is not as good , because if the coral is going to burn it will do so in the first few hrs. Is this correct? If it is I need some screen ! Just changed my bulbs as spectrum seems to have shifted. Cleaning algae off glass every 2 days. No thanks !!!

Have you tried this Pampee? I'm thinking 4 layers. Take 1 off every week.Maybe more.... Any thoughts? This will be a 1st for me. Usually go with the photo period cut in half. That's why I asked if the screen is better. Any help is appreciated. I don't wat to kill whats high up in the tank with the new bulbs (Iwasaki 15k) Lots of par ! Thanks for the help.
 
No I never really needed to do it that as I changed my bulbs out every six months so par usually never dropped dramatically I just had to shorten my light cycle and gradually increase it
