I have this posted in Marine Fish Keeping too, but more are looking here so here it is in this forum too:

I have scooter blenny that I have had for about 1 month now. It has been very active eating and swimming, never any trouble. Over the past few days he has gotten very skinny and is breathing hard. I would first assume that the skinny thing is starving, but the tank has established live rock that should be a good food source of algae, etc.

water is testing fine, all other fish doing good

Other fish in tank: red sea sailfin, pr. black percs, mandarin goby, flame angel, high-fin anthias, zebra eel

Thanks

You also have a mandarin goby. I think that is most likely your problem.
The scooter and the mandarin are the same type fish with very similar requirements. Between the two of them (along with your other fish), they could decimate the pod population of a tank. Also, these fish are not very agressive feeders. If your scooter will eat frozen mysis, you might try target feeding him and see if you observe him eating. If so, this may be what you'll have to continue to do to make sure your blenny stays well-fed.

wouldnt there be a better chance it would jump out of the fuge?

I know they can jump out of a tank, but at least the canopy would maybe keep in, but the fuge has no lid....
