I had posted previously that my jawfish has gone blind. She's doing very well considering. I think she has a bit of sight, can tell when it's totally dark and when the lights are on. But she moves around the tank very, very well and I only know for sure she's still pretty blind when I stick my hand in the tank with a bright pink glove and she runs smack into it. She scoops and spits sand... well everywhere. I spend a lot of time during the course of a day lifting up zoa & mushroom rocks to unbury them or blowing it off the mushrooms. In the following video, the clownfish are preparing a new area to lay eggs. And the jawfish has also chosen the same area to spit mouthfuls of sand at. Sweetie, the female clown, is not very happy about having sand spit at her or her soon to be nest and retaliates... as best she can.

This battle has ensued all day and I just turned the lights out to put an end to the war. I think the jawfish can distinguish lights out and lights on because when it's pitch dark she lays down and goes to sleep.
