I started this build last year and its still going...I'm trying to hit it hard now and its finally starting to come together.

The stand is thick gauge steel 2x2 and 1x2 Mig welded by myself and powder coated black

The tank i got used from another member....It was one of those deals you can say no to(even if the wife already said no tank upgrade). I took it home and inspected it. Good tank no big scratches but the silicon did need replacing so i spent a few days cutting down the tank and resealing it with motive rtv100 silicon. Leak tested it for 3 days to make sure no leaks. I even ran two maxijet mod pumps in there to try and simulate actual use

Looking good. Nice work on the sump and the DIY frame. If i had the welding skills i may have attemted a frame for mine.

finished the plumbing I decided to paint it black to try and hide the plumbing a little more. I also resin and glassed the bottom tray so that it would be able to hold water. the tray should hold about 3-4 gallons of water minus the sumps displacement.

I wasn't allowed to even get an upgrade so she's already hot about that... Thaw tanks not in it final location it's actually going to replace the 72 in the living room

Looking fantastic! Tagging along to see how it goes!! BTW i feel your pain my wife is going to be on fire when i tell her im upgrading **EEEKKK** it will be a slow upgrade for me for sure.

its been a long while since i updated but heres a few update pictures. Ive gotten everything transferred with no mishaps by slowly filling the tank and cycling all three tanks at the same time all in one continuous loop. Ive been able to build the stand skin and doors. After that i finally understand why cabinet builders charge so much to build a stand.

yeah between work and everything thats going on i barely have anytime to work on my tank and check the boards. I think things are starting to settle down and getting better. Im trying to trim the stand tonight that way i have this weekend to start staining the wood.
