Salt water water changes...?

Okay so once again this is my first SW tank and right now I have the live rock,live sand and 2 damsels in and right now the water reads to be fine and so is the salinity. About how often should I top off and do water changes to my 40 gallon FOWLR tank? If you could go in depth about this I would sooooo appreciate it! The tank will be one week old on Saturday!
 
I would say do a 5 gallon change every other week, or you could break that up into 2.5 every week. As for top off, just keep an eye on the water level and if it drops add some RO/DI water to bring it back up to level.
