Sailfin Tang Downsized Tank

Considering selling our 450G peninsula tank that is 8 ft wide and moving some of the fish to our 300 Cube which is 36 x 36 x 32 if i recall . Would be 3 fish in total to move but the one I'm concerned about is our Sailfin tang who we have had for over 10 years. Right now length is about 5" but when it spreads out it would be closer to 7". The Cube has mostly Wrasse but does have an Orange Shoulder and a Scopas. Orange Shoulder is about 5" long and the Scopas is around 3-4" long. The Cube is well rocked but we would end up removing some of the rock to make more room.

Has anyone downsized a tank on a fish and noticed any issues?

sailfin fish like to swim and love a longer more rectangle tank....so my 2 cents is that your saifin will be unhappy. I have two and they are always swimming back and forth and in and out of the rocks.
