bought some of the captive bred yellow tangs that were successfully reared in Hawaii recently. I got a call from a supplier that he would be able to sell a few, and I reached out to both of them. Tammy got one for her 800g, and Ryan ordered two for his 1000g build. I have one for my little frag system. I blogged about it last night: http://melevsreef.com/blog/captive-bred-yellow-tangs-04202016

Here's a picture of them today. I asked for tiny ones, and that is what I got. They are 9 months and 1 day old today.

They aren't perfect. But I think time, good water and healthy diet will help them look great in time.

They're perfect. They're captive bred. I really didn't think it would ever be done.

We can debate perfect, but they're certainly state of the art.

Pretty neat looking in person, they are so little, hope to get one one day.

This makes me wish I had a bigger tank. All of my fish are captive bred so I had always thought that any Tangs were out of the question. I guess I don't have any choice now but to get a bigger tank. [smilie=smile.gif]
