Round tank

has anyone had any success with the round tanks for a reef I know someone wanting to set one up and is set on a round one but I am worried about lighting any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance 
 
With of the LED lighting options available today, I don't think lighting will be an issue at all.  The things I don't like about round tanks are that most of them are (or need to be) acrylic which can scratch easily.  I also don't like that they distort your view unless they are very big with a slow curve to them.
