"ROBO-SNAIL" - robotic automatic algae cleaner!

-Its like a "roomba" for your tank

I've seen protein skimmers that have wiper blades to wipe down the inside of the collection cup, now robo snails. I have an idea for those who like that stuff. Get robo-fish and robo-corals. Then you won't need a protein skimmer to have to clean the cup, and since there is no food in the water, algae shouldn't be a major problem but a reef tank needs a clean up crew so keep the robo-snail. Water parameters won't be an issue, but just for appearance get robo-water testers. Ugh seems like these automated gadgets are taking us further and further away from the hands on part of the hobby.

- I guess it has to be "more bulky" than a regular one to contain the "robotic" part of it...
- It does help you keep the glass clean....
-It doesnt move itself around to the side glass...
-it doesnt talk to you (yet...)
-it shouldnt be able to scratch your glass- but it would probably scratch-up acryllic tanks pretty easy
-*not recommended for acryllic tanks...
* dont those skimmer cup wipers just redeposit it back inside the skimmer???

-over 1 million ROOMBAS sold for people who dont like vacuuming the house as much...
-these should sell to that type of market... and maintenance accounts ect...
-there are so many automated products out there to "help" you maintain your tank...
-this is a good one too...

If you read the site, they are programmable to keep them away from the sand bed. They supposedly detect the edges of the tank and you tell it how far to stay away from the bottom.

-and now were reduced to "stereoTypes"
-But it IS true...
-rarely have I read the instructions to anything- unless I cant figure it out...
