[Joseph came up with a really neat system that has good potential for success. I'm hoping to make one or two of these in the near future.

The Weatherson Chamber]

[Do you plan on using a gravity feed or some type of pump, and do you plan on runnning it through the diy calcium reactor. I know I read in the thread that the resivoir will be remotely located, I was wondering how far from the tanks will the resivoirs be?]

[My plan is to build two of them, with each one being installed behind the wall that the tank is on. My RO/DI will fill them up as needed, and they will refill my sumps via gravity.]

[The Kent Float Valves, which is a sealed canister that seals the valve when the water level rises. Nothing electrical.]

[Those look pretty good. They do have a stainless steel arm, but they'd be in RO water, not saltwater. Hmmm..

Great price, btw!]

[Marc,

No, the fixed models are all plastic except for the ss wingnut/bolt on the vert control arm and one replaceable ss cotter pin in the head.

I have the #23077 1/4 OD. The arm is adjustable but its for vertical mount only. Don't know what the 'adjustable' horizontal/vertical unit looks like.

Even for salt water I would bet you could find an inexpensive plastic replacement for the wingnut assembly and an alternative for the stainless cotter.

I can post some pictures of the 23077 if you want.]

[Mike, you're right! You've saved me a bunch of money, that is for sure. I'm gonna order 4. Anyone else need or want one? I'll place an order for as many as y'all want, to cut down on shipping fees.]

[The same as Mike's. 1/4" OD tubing connection.]

[How were you planning on having them shipped? I do not have an immediate need so I cannot see paying for overnight or 2 Day. If regular ground is OK then I could go for 2 of them. We do need to work out $$$ exchange and pick up. Are you going to be a the next meeting? If you need the cash ASAP I could send a check or even PAYPal.

LMK

BTW, should we start a post in the group buy forum?]

[Stanley, there is no rush on this... it is one of those projects that I'll be getting to in the next 30 days. If others want to join in on the purchase, fine. If not, fine. I won't be paying to ship them fast, because that is rediculous.

I noticed on that page that if you buy a few, they knock a % off the price. So I opened it up to others if they want in.

Working on the logistics will be simpler if I have an idea of how many we might want to get. As of now, it looks like 6 including yours. If more people are interested, I'll start a thread there to organize it.]

[Marc,

Does this get me a 10% discount on the sump I'll have you build for me in the future? :;):

Arr arr arr.

Glad it will work for you. Any savings we can find leaves more for the fun stuff.]

[Marc,

Great DIY project.I bought the similar product ( liquid level controller ) from Spectrapure and it works great on the 300 I set up. Only difference is, no resevoir and no float valve container either. If you have limited space, or no room, the Spectrapure is better IMO. Of course, this might be cheaper if you fabricate it yourself.]

[I wish I'd heard that presentation, but I was off shooting pictures for the newsletter. Luv them corals!

What did that unit run? $90?]
