Hello all. I have 2 tanks - 50 gal reef and 3 gal pico. On my pico, I'm sorry to say I've lost yet another fish (tomato clown) to suicide. Jumped it's little tomato arse right out of the tank. This is the third one. I'm running a Taam Rio Nano Skimmer, and I think that might be a mitigating factor. Those that haven't used one, it requires the water level to be really high in the tank for it to work. If the water get about an inch below totally full the intake loses it's suction eventually. I'm in the process of modding an aquaclear 50 into a refugium this weekend. I'm just curious if anyone else has had similar experience? When i was originally running the little filter that came with the Picotope, i never had this problem. When I first got the little skimmer I was really excited to have a skimmer on the tank, but recenty I've read that on a pico it's not a great idea. ??
