Rimless 65g plumbing help

Just picked up a reef ready 65g rimless. I have never plumbed a tank before and I would love some help. The tank has two 3/4" holes for return and a single 1" for overflow. 3 bulkheads came with the tank 2 3/4" and 1 1" obviously, as did the black tubes that return the water to the tank. I don't have any issue with the return part, just the overflow. So with the overflow what method should I use, a durso standpipe?

Use pvc to plumb it. Inside the tank use a t pvc to help keep noise down. Take t and have one end above water drawing air, one end under water drawing water, and one end going into the bulkhead.
